Winter Bronze with Deborah Milano

Even though it's winter now I always like to be tanned and bronzed looking and when recently shopping my stash I came across this huge Deborah Milano bronzer which I have had for quite a while now. It's definitely been a while as they have changed the packaging since I bought this a number of years ago however I am a make up hoarder and not great at throwing it out. 

I have this in the second lightest shade which barely shows up on my skin which is why I don't have a swatch for you (sorry!). However applied to my face it gives me a really healthy bronzed glow without looking cakey or muddy. I absolutely love NARS laguna for contouring but I find all over my face it is a bit much. This is perfect and I would definitely suggest it would be a lovely subtle contour for those of you who are paler.

It is completely matte and blends seamlessly into the skin lasting pretty much all day with the odd touch up after 7/8 hours. This will also last you years as it has a huge 30g of product. The only thing with the new packaging that doesn't look as great is it doesn't have the huge mirror inside that comes with mine however for £6.50 it is an absolute steal.

If you are someone who doesn't like to put away the tan and bronzer even during winter time I would definitely recommend this to you.

Collection 2000 Sheer Loose Powder - Translucent

I bought this randomly when I seriously needed to powder and didn't bring anything with me and it's actually turned out not bad. 

The packaging is similar to the Chanel loose powder but less bulky and easier to carry around with you. I wasn't expecting much from this powder but I have found using it with  a brush rather than the silly sponge they supply you with it works really well. I tap a small amount of product into the pot and swirl my brush to pick up the product. I only use a light dusting of this on my fore head and t zone but it definitely keeps shine at bay when needed. However it does only last around 3 hours and if you are too heavy handed it will cake a bit. 

I chose translucent and it doesn't alter the colour of my base in any way. For £2.99 you can't really go wrong here it doesn't replace my Chanel but if you are on a low budget and prefer loose powders to pressed then its definitely for you.

Christmas Beauty Wishlist

I thought I would do a beauty christmas wish list for you all but would love to know if you'd like to see a non beauty wish list too. 

I seem to have gone a bit palette mad recently with lusting over this gorgeous Bobbi Brown palette - it is the perfect size for popping in your hand bag for a night out not to mention the colours are gorgeous. I probably really do not need the Clarins essential palette as I already own Urban Decay naked 1 and 2 and currently wanting 3! But after swatching this palette it feels amazing and super buttery soft I think I have to have it. 

Every year Soap and Glory release there big skin care bundle and this year is it the Yule Monty set. I am pretty sure this will go into one of Boots offer of the week when I'll be picking it up for someone and hopefully my mum does the same for me - I don't think this has to be justified it just screams christmas! 

I have heard so many great things about the Bobbi Brown Make up Manual that I know my mum has already got me as she asked me to remind her what it was again. I just thought it was an appropriate thing to have as a make up hoarder and who knows better than Bobbi Brown. 

I curl my hair a lot using my GHD straighteners but as my hair in pretty thick and getting longer and longer it is beginning to take ages and a curl isn't holding very well. I have seen amazing results with these enrapture curlers and with Argos doing them for only £33.99 just now there couldn't be a better time to purchase them. 

Last but definitely not least I have wanted a Tom Ford lipstick for ages and ages but due to how expensive they are it just not something I could justify. I don't usually shy away from spending a lot on my make up I could spend £25 on a lipstick and £45 on a powder but £36 for a lipstick just seemed way too much. I think christmas is a good time to ask for things you would not usually buy yourself so I would love to see this under the tree is the shade Spanish Pink or Nude Vanille. 

I would love to know what on your list to Santa this year although it will probably only make mine longer!

Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Mascara

Although I already featured this in my October favourites I felt it merited a full post as I had previously disregarded it. As I said in my October favourites I thought it was dryer out and useless but for some reason after wiggling the brush about it seems to work. 

The maybelline brow drama comes in three shades and I went for the middle shade. I have found that it actually gives off very little colour and it's sole purpose isn't to fill in my brows but to help shape and hold them in place. The brush is the perfect shape in helping me tame by brows and once dry it doesn't flake or feel crispy throughout the day. I apply after I have filled in my brows using the MUA brow kit.

I will definitely be repurchasing this as it works much better than a clear mascara for me but I may try the dark brown this time to see if it gives me a bit more colour. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for something to help keep your brows in place all day or if you prefer a more natural brow.

Winter Blush

For me, as soon as it hits the colder months I love to change up my make up. When it comes to blush I put away my peaches and oranges and bring outs the pinks. I definitely think pinks look gorgeous in winter as they give that natural flush to the cheeks like your that little bit cold.

I absolutely love Bobbi Brown blushes they are so pigmented and last all day without fading. Apricot is very oddly named as it is most definitely not an apricot shade. It is more a bright fuchsia pink that you can go a bit overboard with if your not careful. Apply with a light hand and its gorgeous, you can see me wearing it - here. 

A beauty favourite is Macs well dressed  blush. Probably most people who love make up already own this blush so if you do its time to whip it out for winter! It is pale girly pink with a subtle hint of shimmer and I love using it on my more natural make up days. 

Lastly if powder blushes aren't your thing then I love this revlon blush in the shade flushed. Again it looks super scary in the pan but once applied it is quite subtle and pretty similar to apricot. These blushes need a bit of building but it means you can't go wrong with them. Again these last all day on me and are a steal at only £7.99.

October Favourites

Better late than never I guess! The weather and general real life has been getting in the way of me blogging. I am hoping to be a bit more organised this week so expect some more frequent posts. 

October was definitely a quick month, here we are 50 days until christmas - I am so excited ! First thing I have been using throughout the whole month has been the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette. It is such a gorgeous palette with everything you need from neutrals to not that scary brights. Cannot wait to try out more of the colours as it nears christmas nights outs. I like to think I have quite a good idea of what make up I like and what works for me. When it comes to skincare I really am lost and rely on other bloggers to recommend things to me. I have been using the St Ives famous Apricot Scrub and for the price it is amazing. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean but also my skin has been looking a lot brighter and generally all round better looking. As I said I am definitely no expert but this seems to be working for me! 

For blush I have been loving mac's well dressed as it adds a flush to the cheeks that looks very natural for the colder months. This paired with a red lipstick goes perfectly. My current favourite red lipstick is Kate Moss 107 but annoyingly couldn't find it for the pictures. It is such a gorgeous deep red that makes me feel so wintery. My last favourite this month has a bit of a story and if you follow me on twitter you will know I had issues with the Maybelline brow drama. Mine felt completely dry and nothing was happening and then I randomly decided to try it again and wiggled the brush about and it seems to be working. It doesn't give all that much colour but is perfect for holding my brows in place and not flaking.
